Douglas graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in NC and has been in the financial services industry for 18 years in different capacities. He was a collegiate athlete at LR, running Cross Country and Track. He studied Economics and Business in college, then obtained the Certified Estate Planner designation shortly after. This training and mentorship experience with some of the top advisors in the country brought him eventually to the market of Advanced Planning, specializing in business and high net worth planning, while also being able to provide these same strategies to the average American family. He attends educational conferences around the country to continue learning the top strategies available to his clientele.
He started Advanced Wealth Strategies, Inc. in 2012 to help consumers that want to learn about asset protection, growth and how to potentially achieve a tax-free income planning with more efficient risk. If people want help implementing these strategies or would like recommendations, he’s happy to take time to customize a plan that could work for you. He specializes in taking the complex and making it simple and understandable. He is the Past President for the LRU Alumni Association, 2023 Board Chairman of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, in the Lake Norman Young Professionals, Vice Chair of the Lake Norman Small Business Network, Board Treasurer for the Cain Center for the Arts, member of Business Leaders Unleashed, received an award for Charlotte’s Top 30 Under 30, and was in the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honors Society.
